Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how orders placed with Luxedo Suits are accepted, produced, delivered and supported. Please read them with the relevant product details and policies before ordering.

Your legal rights: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights concerning faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.

1. About us

Luxedo Suits is operated by The Great British Tweed Company Limited. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Luxedo Suits and its legal operator; “you” and “your” mean the person placing the order.

Customer correspondence: Luxedo Suits, British Tailoring, PO Box 574, Sheepscar, Leeds, LS6 9FA, United Kingdom. Email: info@luxedosuits.com.

The PO Box is for correspondence only and cannot receive garment returns. Contact us before returning anything; an authorised private returns address will be supplied where required.

2. Using the website

You may use this website for lawful purchasing, product research and communication with us. You must not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with the site or use its content unlawfully. We aim to keep the site accurate and available but cannot promise uninterrupted access.

3. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy the selected goods. An automatic email may acknowledge receipt but does not by itself confirm that every fabric, measurement or specification is available. We accept the order when we confirm it for production or begin ordering or cutting fabric after reviewing payment, availability and the information required to proceed.

We may contact you to clarify measurements, styling, quantities, delivery details or apparent errors. We may decline or cancel an order where payment is not authorised, fabric is unavailable, essential information is missing, delivery is unavailable, the order appears fraudulent or unlawful, an obvious price error has occurred, or we cannot reasonably fulfil it. If we cannot accept an order after payment, we will refund the relevant amount paid to us.

4. Products, fabrics and styling

Made to Order garments are produced after ordering using standard sizing together with the fit, length and styling choices shown on the product page. Made to Measure garments are produced using customer-supplied body measurements and may provide additional fit and styling controls. Made to Measure is not the same as traditional in-person bespoke tailoring with repeated physical fittings.

Check the product description, included pieces, fabric, colour, lapels, fit, fastening, lengths, trouser or skirt choice, measurements and every selected option before ordering. Screen settings, photography and lighting can affect colour and texture. Fabric shade may vary slightly between batches and pattern or pile placement varies between cut pieces. Request an available physical swatch before ordering where precise colour or texture is important.

If a selected material becomes unavailable before cutting, we will contact you to discuss an appropriate alternative or a refund for the affected item. We will not knowingly substitute a materially different fabric without agreement.

5. Measurements and fit

You are responsible for supplying complete and accurate sizes, measurements and fit information. Measurements should be carefully taken, repeated and submitted using one measurement system. Unless a form asks for a finished-garment measurement, provide the actual body measurement and do not add your own ease; we calculate the room required for the chosen garment and fit.

Tell us before production about asymmetry, distinctive proportions, posture, mobility requirements, fluctuating measurements or any fit preference not explained by the measurements. We may review information for obvious inconsistencies but cannot identify every measuring error or unmentioned requirement remotely. Body changes after measurements are submitted are not production errors.

6. Prices and payment

The total payable to us, including tax we are required to collect and any separate delivery charge, is shown before the order is submitted. Full payment is normally required when ordering unless another written arrangement is agreed. Production does not begin while required payment is outstanding.

International import duties, local taxes, customs, brokerage and clearance fees are not included unless checkout expressly states otherwise. Payment providers may apply currency-conversion or foreign-transaction charges outside our control.

7. Changes and cancellation

Made to Order and Made to Measure orders may normally be cancelled for a full refund by notifying us in writing within 48 hours of ordering. This window may end earlier if you explicitly ask us to begin cutting or production sooner and we act on that request.

Specification changes requested within the initial 48 hours are subject to availability and only take effect when confirmed by us in writing. Later changes may be impossible or may require an extra charge and revised estimate. Garments produced to selected measurements or specifications may be clearly personalised, so ordinary change-of-mind cancellation rights may not apply after production is committed. Rights concerning faulty or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

8. Production and delivery

Most Made to Order and Made to Measure orders are estimated to arrive within 4–6 weeks, including delivery, once the order is ready to enter production. The estimate begins on the later of 48 hours after ordering or the date we have received full payment and every measurement, styling choice and detail needed to begin.

This is an estimate, not a guaranteed event deadline. For weddings, group orders and important events, order at least eight weeks before the garments are required. We do not offer a public rapid or priority production service. Supplier delays, delivery disruption, customs processing, severe weather and other circumstances outside reasonable control may extend the process.

9. International orders

International customers are responsible for checking import requirements and paying applicable duties, tariffs, local taxes, brokerage, clearance, storage and redelivery charges. Customs may inspect, hold or delay parcels. Refusing or failing to collect a custom parcel because destination charges are due does not create a right to cancel or receive a refund.

10. Returns and faults

Contact us before sending any garment. Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, remedies for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods may include repair, replacement, remake, price reduction or refund.

A customer sizing issue caused by selected sizing, inaccurate measurements, omitted information or later body change does not automatically entitle the customer to a free remake or refund. We may offer practical assistance at our discretion. Full details, including ready-made accessory returns and packaging requirements, appear in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy.

11. Our responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or non-excludable consumer rights. We are not responsible for loss caused solely by inaccurate customer information, body changes, an incorrect address, unpaid import charges or failure to leave sufficient time before an event.

12. Privacy and intellectual property

We process information for enquiries, orders, measurements, delivery, financial records and security as described in our Privacy Policy. Customer fit photographs will not be used for public marketing without separate permission.

The website’s design, writing, photographs, illustrations and branding are owned by us or used with permission. They may not be copied, republished, sold or presented as another business’s work except where law permits.

13. Complaints and governing law

Questions or complaints should be sent through our Contact Us page or emailed to info@luxedosuits.com. Include your order number and a clear explanation.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Customers in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their local courts. International customers retain mandatory consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded. If any part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
